Senior Chief Kanong’esha  commended for uniting Lunda – Luvale speaking people

Zambezi, August 29th 2011, ZANIS --- Senior Chief Ndungu of the Luvale people of Zambezi district has commended his Lunda counterpart Senior Chief Kanong’esha, for his unwavering efforts in uniting traditional rulers in the two chiefdoms.

ZANIS reports from Zambezi District on Monday, that Senior Chief Ndungu noted that senior chief Kanong’esha has also played a pivotal role in reconciling not only traditional leaders of the two tribes found in Angola and Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

“ Development can only come about if people are united and living in harmony regardless of tribe or country of origin, “ said the Senior traditional rulers.

He said this through a representative during the 55th Likumbi lya Mize traditional ceremony which was attended by Senior Chief Kanong’esha of the Lunda people of Mwinilunga district and chiefs from Angola over the weekend.

He said Luvales and Lundas are one people who should co exist because they share a common history.  The senior chief pledged that his establishment will continue preaching and promoting love and unity amongst all tribes.
